Welcome

Metal Roofs

  1. Prepare Surface Tighten or replace loose fasteners. Remove scaling rust and pressure wash to achieve a clean, sound roof surface.
  2. Encapsulate Corrosion as Needed Apply ASTEC B-16-71 Rust Control specially formulated to neutralize and halt further metal roof corrosion.
  3. Seal Fasteners Tighten or replace any loose fasteners. Encapsulate every fastener with ASTEC WPM #9 fluid membrane to insure a watertight seal.
  4. Seal Seams & Flashings Reinforce all seams, flashings, and penetrations with high tensile strength fabric saturated with ASTEC WPM #9 fluid membrane, or use WPM #10 fiber-reinforced fluid membrane.
  5. Apply First Layer Apply the first layer of either ASTEC #900 Ceramic Finish, or ASTEC #2000 Finish for a tough, weatherproof membrane.
  6. Apply Final Layer Apply the second application of either ASTEC #900 or ASTEC #2000 Re-Ply finish to the roof. This results in a seamless, highly reflective “cool roof” that remains durable, weathertight, and pliable. Impervious to many airborne corrosives, ASTEC roofs have proven performance over 100’s of millions of square feet.

Asphalt Roofs

  1. Prepare Surface Pressure wash the old surface to eliminate loose material. Repair substrate, blisters, and cracks as needed.
  2. Seal Seams Reinforce all roof, vent, duct, and flashing seams and laps with high tensile strength polyester cloth. Saturate with the appropriate ASTEC Base Sealer.
  3. Prime and Seal Surface Apply one or more layers of the appropriate ASTEC Base Sealer. This bonding sealer applies as a fluid, filling all cracks, and curing as a seamless, pliable, membrane over the entire roof.
  4. Apply First Layer Apply the first layer of ASTEC #2000 Re-Ply Finish. It will bond with the ASTEC Base Sealer for a tough, weatherproof membrane.
  5. Apply Final Layer Apply the second application of ASTEC #2000 Re-Ply finish to the roof. This results in a seamless, highly reflective “cool roof” that remains durable, weathertight, and pliable. Impervious to many airborne corrosives, ASTEC roofs have proven performance over 100’s of millions of square feet.

Single-Ply Roofs

  1. Prepare Surface Pressure wash the old roof surface to eliminate loose material, repair substrate, blisters, and cracks as needed. Clean all rubber surfaces with EPDM rinseable primer.
  2. Seal Seams Reinforce all roof, vent, duct, and flashing seams and laps with high tensile strength fabric or BBT Butyl-back tape. Saturate with ASTEC Base Sealer #2000.
  3. Prime and Seal Surface Flow on one or two layers of ASTEC Base sealer #2000 for Rubber. This bonding sealer applies as a fluid, filling all cracks, and curing as a seamless, pliable membrane over the entire roof.
  4. Apply Core Layer Flow on the first layer of ASTEC Re-Ply #2000  Finish Layer. It will bond with the ASTEC Re-Ply Base Sealer #2000 and provide a monolithic core base for the final surface.
  5. Apply Surface Layer Flow on the final ASTEC Re-Ply # 2000 Finish layer. The new surface will be a seamless, titanium white ply of a highly reflective roofing that is waterproof, pliable, and virtually impervious to airborne corrosives over years of hostile environmental conditions.
